Coats are to be kept in lockers if the outside temperature is at sixty degrees or above. Students may keep coats with them when temperatures are below that, but may not wear them in or during classes (Coats are subject to be checked by administrators or staff any time desired). General uniform code rules and policies
Administration withholds the right to make decisions concerning the acceptability of any apparel worn to school or at other school functions.
Students must be in full school uniform before they exit buses or other means of transportation. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action.
Students who arrive at school out of uniform and do not have the proper items to correct the discrepancies will be kept out of classes (ISS) until a parent or guardian brings or arranges to have brought to school the uniform items needed. All such missed time from classes will be considered an unexcused absence. The second offence about the dress code results in the disciplinary referral. See Section 5.3 for unexcused absence policies.
Uniforms must be worn before, during and at after–school functions and clubs, field trips, etc. unless otherwise noted by staff or as indicated by the nature of the event. White t-shirts (no logos, etc.) are allowed only during lunch and recreation periods. All white t-shirt should have full half sleeves (no tank tops or half-moon sleeves)..
Uniform for physical education classes
All students must purchase and wear the required uniform for physical education classes. This uniform consists of white shirt and any-color shorts, to be purchased locally. Students who fail to wear the proper uniform for physical education classes may be issued a “dress cut” which may adversely affect their physical education grade based upon PE teacher’s discretion.
Students with gym scheduled during 1st period must remain in school uniform until instructed to change for gym. Students with gym during the last period of the day must back into school uniform after gym. They may not travel home or remain at school in their gym uniform
